For a while now, the girls have been sleeping on mattresses on the floor. They both broke their beds/frames. I've been looking at bunkbeds but what I like is out of my price range. We decided to hit up some garage sales today and looky what I found! This will work!! I'd like to either paint it or stain it cause I really don't like this color for their room. Do you think paint will scratch off? Any tips on what I should do?

What a great find, I love to garage sale myself as well. I think the paint would be hard to maintain as I think it would get scratched easy but staining could be a major project. I can't wait to see what it looks like when you are done. However I do like it the way it is now.
I totally love it! I would leave it the color it is...but then that's me! I love great yard sale finds!
We have the same exact bunkbed in Austin & Bridger's room! Got it at Rooms To Go last year! :)
I love garage sales for this very reason!!! GREAT FIND! I think painting it would be a great idea!!
Man, those were an awesome score! Maybe you could put a couple coats of white on them? I think if maybe you primer it really good, it might not scratch so bad... How much did they set you back? I'm in the market for bunks myself. LOL
I painted the bed that Costa uses 4years ago with spray paint. Well let me rephrase that. Sean did the painting. It still looks like the day we, I mean he did it. After we painted it, we just rolled on a satin poylurethane. I didn't want it to look shiny. I think it is worth a shot. Go for it and take tons of pics for me to see.
I'm glad you finally got bunk beds. I know that you've been wanting them for your girls for a long time. I hope they love them!!!
