My Youngest

Is a weird one. She will fight the dog for dog food. And today, I found her in the mud, eating it. I should've taken pics, but I was too busy working in the yard, and I was frustrated that she'd done it. It worries me cause a couple of weeks ago, I put grass seed and ironite all over the yard. Ugh. Not to mention, I just put a cute new shirt on her. Darn it. But I guess she's ok cause she's acting fine. Minus the little bit of crying she did when she sprayed pledge multisurface cleaner in her eyes. OMG

What A Day!!

So I decided to make the kids a list of things they need to get done today. Just to keep me from having to do everything around here. Wellllll... they finished their list and I've barely gotten anything done. I need to revise their lists. HAHA! I've done quite a bit of reorganizing and that took forever, but it's not something you notice when you walk in the house. I still have tons to do. I just sat the kids down to do some school and they are acting like they are SO mistreated. I'm a horrible mom for making them use their brains. And Karly won't stop screaming. I really need to find something for her to do so we can get finished and I can get back to cleaning.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got back to cleaning. Then went outside to work on the lawn mower. I fixed it!!! I was able to mow most of the back yard. Jarrett needs to take down the batting cage so I can finish. Then Connor begged to mow, so I let him mow the front. (where I know things won't sling back and hit him) and he did a great job!

Jarrett called and he's working late. Blah. I'm ready for that house in Dallas to be DONE.

I took the kids out to eat. They wanted Taco Bell and I wanted Golden China so we went two places. I just really do NOT like Taco Bell. Ick.

When we got home, we ate, then I vacuumed and mopped and well, now it's 9 and I'm about to put the kids to bed. YAY!!

Peace and quiet.

Anyone got a good recipe for peach bellini's? I've seen several but don't know which one to try. I want a frozen one. Yum!

RE: Stimulus Post

Sorry if you were offended about what I posted. I'll remove it and try to bite my tongue on those sorts of issues. I didn't post it with the intention of making people feel bad for spending money. I just have issues with that whole situation. And you know, actually I didn't write it at all, I read it somewhere and agreed, so I copied it here.

WHAT???!!!????????

OMG!!! Click here for the article or just read what I c/p. lol

Oil recently hit an all-time high of nearly $120 a barrel, more than double its early 2007 price of about $50 a barrel. It closed Friday at $118.52.
The forecasts calling for a jump to between $7 and $10 a gallon are based on the view that the price of crude is on its way to $200 in two to three years.
Translating this price into dollars and cents at the gas pump, one of our forecasters, the chairman of
Houston-based Dune Energy, Alan Gaines, sees gas rising to $7-$8 a gallon. The other, a commodities tracker at Weiss Research in Jupiter, Fla., Sean Brodrick, projects a range of $8 to $10 a gallon.

I need to save up for a horse. Or 5.

The Weather

Is driving me nuts! It's been so warm here lately then a cold front came in yesterday. Well, I woke up freezing and turned on ALL of my heaters. Now, this afternoon, I need the AC. GEEZ!! I'm ready for SUMMER!!!!!!

Ugh, I was doing so good...

I woke up pretty early today and decided not to have any cigarettes. I had my coffee w/out smoking. That's HUGE. Then we went shopping at the outlet mall. (which btw is getting a Gymboree in May- WOOHOO) Then we went to Wal Mart. Wal Mart always makes me wanna smoke. So I bought some and had my first one of the day at 12:45. I've had 6 now. UGH!!! I did all of that this morning w/out even wearing a patch. But now I have one on so hopefully it'll kick in and I won't smoke anymore today.
Oh, and I only had ONE pack of cigarettes from Friday - Sunday. :)

Get A Load Of This... In Other Words

Whoa!! Check out Revelation 3:15-16. If you want to avoid being a big old gob of spit on the ground, don't be lukewarm. You're only fooling yourself if you think you can have one foot in sin and the other foot in God's kingdom. There's no middle ground! Serve God with your whole heart!!

Our Saturday

Today we decided to just chill. At first everyone sat around reading their new books and I decided to take pictures since it's been a few days. hehe
Caleb thinks the words will just fall into his head w/out having to read.
Or maybe it works like this...
Connor loves his new book. I'm kind of worried that it's called the 'Dangerous Book For Boys'. ACK!

Karly thinks she's hiding from the camera.
Then decided to pose for me.
After a time of reading we decided to go for a ride. We went toward El Paso. HAHA!! We entered El Paso into Tomtom and took the shortest distance. The shortest distance usually takes us down back roads. We went down some COUNTRY roads. Scary roads. But got to see some neat stuff. I didn't take pics, like I should've. We ended up in a town we've been to before. Glen Rose. There they have Dinosaur Valley and Fossil Rim.
We've been to both places, but thought we'd take Karly to Fossil Rim. When we got there, the price had doubled and well, it would have cost an arm and a leg for us to go, so we left. It was sad, but then again, it's not worth the new price. So we drove back home and went to Cici's for dinner. After that we went to Target and shopped a little. It was an interesting and fun day, just spending time with each other.

Busy Day

Today we woke up and had our breakfast and went to the YMCA. Karly did NOT want to go to the "C" (that's what she calls it). She has a hard time going into the kids clubhouse. I felt so bad leaving her there. She was just pitiful. But I left her. We went to work out and I did ok, I guess. I'm SO badly out of shape. It's embarrassing. I kept having the big kids go check on Karly w/out her seeing them. They'd come back and tell me she was off somewhere by herself, just sitting there looking sad. :*(

So I'd had enough. I decided to go to the gym, close to where Karly was and run around the track. I was going to do a mile. HAHAHA!! What a joke. It takes 15 laps to do a mile. I walked fast 2 times, jogged 2 times, walked 2 times, jogged 2 times then walked slowly the last time. It wore me out. My legs were red and itchy.

Then I went to pick up Karly and saw her. She was sitting on her knees with her head laying on the floor with big tears in her eyes. Talk about feeling bad. I felt like crap. But she was in good hands.

We left there and went to Hastings again. I got Kyndal another new book that came out yesterday. The boys each got a book and I got Kyndal two books on Anne Frank. She's going to read them and write a report on it. Hopefully she'll like it as much as I did. I also got a couple of worship cd's. One for me and one for Karly. :)

When we left there we got lunch and took it to the park for a picnic. After the kids played for about an hour we went to get sno cones. YUM! I'm still eating mine. I love wedding cake!

Now we're home. Karly is napping, the kids are reading and it's raining. We were supposed to have a t ball game tonight at 6 but it might just get rained out.

So that's my day so far.

I Just HAD To Do It *Lady Daisy Update*

It'll make a nice birthday present, right? This is what I went with.

I'm not sure if she has enough hair to hold these in, but we're going to try it out. They were half off so I couldn't pass it up.

I'm Psychic

Last night it was storming pretty bad here. I went to take a shower and thought, man, I'm going to get done shaving one leg and the electricity is going to go off. Then I'll be stuck with one leg shaved.

Wouldn't you know. It happened. I had one leg done and the electricity went off. I finished up in the dark. Then the lights came on for a minute or two and I could see to get all the hairs I missed. When I got out of the shower the electricity went off again and didn't come back on until 2:45 am. Or somewhere around there.

Looking outside this morning I'm a bit depressed. There are leaves all over my yard, the batting cage is falling down and it's muddy! Our yard takes FOREVER to dry. So I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

Went To The Bookstore

We went to Hasting's today to get a book that just came out. Kyndal loves the Warriors books and this one was released yesterday. I'm betting she's almost finished reading it.

I remembered that the kids need new Bibles. So I got this one for Kyndal.
Connor
Caleb
And Karly.

Measurements

I measured Caleb and Karly today to see if they've grown enough to ride new rides at Six Flags. Caleb is only a half inch too short to ride the bigger rides. Maybe I'll get him some girl shoes with thick soles. HAHAHA!!
Then I decided to measure everyone.
Kyndal
Height 59.5
Waist 25
Thigh 18
Chest 29
Head 20.5
Weight 95.5
Connor
Height 56
Waist 23.5
Thigh 15
Chest 27
Head 21
Weight 75
Caleb
Height 53.5
Waist 23
Thigh 15
Chest 26.5
Head 21
Weight 69.5
Karly
Height 39
Waist 19.5
Thigh 12
Chest 21
Head 19
Weight 36.5
And no, I'm not doing mine.

Lady Daisy

Darn it! I got an email from Gymboree today and it made me want to check out the new line. Lately there hasn't been anything that catches my eye. BUT today, ugh. I want these for Karly.

Weird Dream

I had the weirdest dream last night. It's all mixed up in my head right now. I just know that....
1. Jarrett was mad at me.
2. Casi was mad at me.
3. Kia gave me $2 dollars to vote for her for citizen of the month.
4. I was babysitting Brody and Colton in some strange house that looked like a bar. A trashy bar.
5. Kia and I walked in the alley behind Citizens bank and the batmobile came speeding by.
6. Kia and Allison's mom came to my house/bar with a nice hotel looking bed and she laid on the bed. She wasn't Marsha.(their mom) HAHA! She had bright red hair and I was like, Oh that's where Kia and Alli get their red hair. (they don't have red hair. )

I wonder what all of that is supposed to mean.

Full of it today..

Just one more thing (for now)

I'm SO HOT. I can't believe I'm about to turn on the AC. It seems like there's a heater on in my bedroom. Even with all these thick dark curtains. Ugh. Guess I'll be complaining soon about a high electric bill.

BUMMER

I was looking forward to going back to the Y tonight and learning how to work out the right way. But Jarrett is working late. :*(

Tomorrow I have to babysit from 9-1 then we have t-ball practice. So I guess I won't get to go back to the Y until later this week. I'm SO bummed!!

Day 1 of my workout...

I'm SO sore already. I worked out at the Y this morning. I can't believe how out of shape I am. I did the elliptical thing for ten minutes and thought I was going to die. Then I did the bicycle for 10 minutes. I really need to get in shape. HA! I also did some strength training and well, I LOVED doing the one machine for my abs. For some reason I can go and go on that one and love the pain I get. Weird huh?

I think I'm going to have Jarrett go with me tonight and he can show me the proper way to get in shape.

I enjoyed myself though. Karly went into the kids club finally. I had to let Connor go with her at first. Then Caleb swapped places with Connor. We also played some racquetball. I can't believe how hard it is to hit a ball. HAHAHA!!!

The Plan

My plans for today are :

First and foremost, to finish my coffee in peace and quiet. (the kids are watching a movie)
Then, we're going to get dressed and go to the YMCA. When we leave there, we'll go grocery shopping. If I have enough time to get the house cleaned I'll do it when we get back. If not, it can wait till Wednesday when it's supposed to rain and I won't be going out anywhere. At some point today I need to go to the bank and pay bills. What fun! And that's all I really need to do. Did you want to know all of that? Probably not.

Too funny!

Jarrett is working on a bid for an ex boyfriend of mine and asked me how to spell his last name. I just sat there for a minute and Jarrett said,

"Don't act like you don't know. You know you wrote it in big bubbly letters a thousand times!"

Hahahaha!! He's probably right!

Some of the sights at the Faire...

Our Trip To Scarborough Renaissance Festival

We took Kyndal to Scarborough Faire today. She loves going there.
Happy Birthday Kyndal!
We met Brandi, Conleigh and Eric there. It was our first time meeting Eric. We liked him a lot. The two of them are so cute together.
We checked out some shops and I found this hat that I LOVED. I've never really been one to wear a hat unless I was playing softball and had to. But I'd wear this one! Too bad it was $35!
The kids rode rides and played games. This is Connor in the middle of a back flip on the bungee trampoline. In one jump he did 3 back flips. It was awesome!
We even got Karly on it!
Me and Brandi had a couple of peach bellini's. They were yummy! I need to find a recipe and make them at home.
Then we found a place that was cute to take some pics together. I've missed her. Hopefully we'll be able to keep in touch better.
Just a picture of me. I look like I'm glowing, and not in a good way.
Kyndal and Conleigh got some princess stuff to wear. They were cute together too.
The girls went to the petting zoo.

And the boys threw knives and chinese stars.
We rented a "Dragon Wagon" for Karly.
They had elephant rides and of course, the kids had to ride.

Having a blast on the swing...
Karly wants to be a princess too!
Jarrett and I in a pic together. YAY!

Our friends had to leave and this is Kyndal when the fun was winding down...
Caleb just chillin' waiting for the joust.
Karly had enough. It was a busy day but she hung in there as long as she could.

Last Night

We had dinner then took the kids to Marble Slab for ice cream. Kyndal loves the cheesecake ice cream from there and was very happy to get to go. Then we took her to Wal Mart to buy a game she wanted for her DS. I know it wasn't much for her birthday but the fun is coming. Saturday we'll be going to The Scarborough Renaissance Festival and meeting with friends. Kyndal loves to go there. She got a couple of checks in the mail so she'll have extra spending money. Be on the lookout for pictures!
