Ft Worth Zoo

We got up bright and early to get ready for the zoo. We headed out pretty early and picked up some breakfast. On the way there, we saw a four wheeler in a field and it was flipped on it's side. So we had to turn around and go back to make sure someone hadn't wrecked out there and been hurt. It looked like it had just fallen off someone's trailer. You could see where it bounced down the hill and into the field. Whew!!
Our gift to Karly was to take her to the zoo. She hasn't been since we were in San Antonio. Long time ago. Anyway, we went. It was packed. I couldn't get any good pictures cause there were people everywhere and they all like walking in front of camera's. Karly wasn't as thrilled about it as I thought she'd be, either. She acted like she sees these animals every day. HAHA

She did not like the little statue animals. They freaked her out. So of course, Connor had to pick her up and carry her to every one we saw.
The only picture I got of her with 'Happy Feet'.
See that thing in the water? Jarrett told her to kiss it and this is the look she gave him.
The zoo had a new part that wasnt' there the last time we were there. It was Texas themed.
How I love these types of settings. I'd like my own 'old west town' in my yard. HAHA!

The zoo did have some fun hands on stuff for the kids. Here they are reaching into the box to try and guess what's in there.

Karly's wingspan...
In the bat cave...

The best part of her day... the train... here she is, waiting patiently.
Here it comes!!!

The poor monkeys looked miserable. :*(
We came home after the zoo and let Karly take a nap. Then we decided to go to the drive in movie and watch Indiana Jones.

I think you got lots of great pics! Looks like a fun day. We haven't been to the zoo since Mason was about 18 months old. I think we may be going next month while we're in GA visiting my brother.

That looks like a cool zoo. Much better than the Tulsa one anyway. LOL!
