First, here's a lovely apron that I got. I LOOOOVE IT!!! In fact, I love it so much, I'm decorating my kitchen around it. haha!!!
I'm hoping to replace that gold light fixture too. It just does NOT agree with me. Ick. Check out the table runner. Too cute!! I need help with a center piece. I've never had one. I guess cause I don't know how to make it look right.
My little shelf (garage sale $3). It needs help too. Any idea how I could make this look better??

Now I'm going to get dressed and go to Goodwill in search of vintage pyrex dishes. Wish me luck!

Have you tried a bowl of fruit/veggies, a candle and some cute salt and pepper shakers? Somehow that's the dining room table combo I go for the most!!

Antoinette, I'd spray paint it if it were mine and I'd probably be ok with it. But since it's not mine, I'd just like to replace it with something I like. And I'm not really sure what I'd replace it with. lol I haven't even begun to look. Still working on getting something on the walls.

What if you take the covers/globes/whatever they're called off the light fixture and paint all that gold white? Centsational Girl did a post about painting brassy crystal lamps and hers turned out BEAUTIFUL. I have a lamp almost exactly like hers that I want to paint. Anyway, I think that would make it look really pretty without making a big purchase right now.

Looks good! Your so creative. I love garage sale finds like that. I just recovered a foot stool with the cutest wal mart fabric. It has SURF boards on it! (and it's in my living room!) lol

I'm totally digging the colors. I love aprons, they just make ya feel good. I always feel so 'motherly' wearing mine. Pssst....my apron matches the kitchen decor as well :)
